Someone Else

My heart feels like it’s exploded ninety times, but that’s alright ‘cause I didn’t need it anyway. I’m just human, and I don’t need love (unless I want to survive.)

I’m sorry I put any trust in this when it should have been in You alone. Now I’m dealing with the consequence of putting someone else in Your throne.

All this rejection and pain I would never wish on someone else because it’s almost more than I can take. I need You God to comfort me and help me to not do this again.

I want You to be my only love so that You will change my heart; I want to bring You honor by being a carrier of real love.
