My Old Self Back

I know I’m not the only one to go through this, but that doesn’t mean that it still doesn’t hurt. We were together for two years, and then you took it all away. So now months have passed by, and I’m forced to go while my heart says stay.

You took a piece of me when you left, I’m not even sure what that piece was. I just know that I am not the same as I once was. and if I’m forced to move on without you, I’d at least like to have my old self back.

Sure I’ve been through this many times before, but it’s never been quite like this. I’m trying to let go and be restored, I don’t have the answers to the questions flooding my mind! But even in the middle of all my pain I trust it will just take time.
