A Prayer Won't Heal the World

I took a look around the world today, could not believe what I saw. There’s people dying, and no one cares. It doesn’t seem to bother them at all. When I see all the death and disease it makes me wonder why people know what’s going on but they just let it pass them by.

What’s the use in trying any more? What’s the use in crying any more? What’s the use in dying any more? Because a prayer won’t heal the world!

To eliminate the problem there’s only one thing to do: you’re gotta look into your eyes! Look in the mirror; who’s looking back at you? If you don’t know him ask yourself why!

To solve the problem you’ve got to stop running— and think of all those people’s lives. A simple prayer won’t change the world— so why do you even try!

Get off the couch, put down your TV guide. It’s time to make up your mind. Why stand in line when you could enjoy the ride? Are you gonna be satisfied?

Next time you’re down on your knees ask yourself one thing. Is prayer gonna change the world or do you need to do something?
