David's Auto-Bio:
What can I say? I was born, I did some stuff, and then I went to sleep. Some other stuff has happened, but I don't think my story is more important than anyone else’s. So what follows is probably more of a philosophy than a story.

I love music: I love to play; I love to listen. I love enjoying life, and I love laughing. In the midst of these pleasures I’ve still got questions and struggles. My artistic expressions often explore the tensions of these co-existing realities in the illumination of Truth.

I find it valuable to connect with people through emotion, humor, and honesty; this is a high ideal to me: meaningful connection; this is my understanding of relationship and humanity. I hope whatever I create plays a part in this.

I guess that's my philosophical foundation.

If you're really interested I can tell you about some music stuff I've done. I've written and performed over a dozen years. I started playing the clarinet in third grade, and over the years have expanded to vocals, guitar, drums, bass, harmonica, djembe, and jaw harp.

I have played with bands including IRL, PEN15, Kama Sutra, Big Sloppy, The Call, Maybe Tuesday, Lucid Soule, the Sock Puppets, Kaiser Bill, the Chris Keegan Band, A Soup Named Stew, Erin Miley, Stand Up Citizens and a variety of no-named endeavors.

I've played music in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, New Mexico, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, and Colombia, South America.

My musical enjoyments and influences include Five Iron Frenzy, Eric Peters, Weird Al, Was (Not Was), Roper, Brave St. Saturn, Craig's Brother, Pep Squad, Tom Lehrer, They Might Be Giants, Edie Brickell, Element 101, Potshot, Dr. Demento, Seth McGaha, Hangnail, Dogwood, Side Walk Slam, The Miscellaneous, Star Ghost Dog, Two Thirty Eight, The Aquabats, and Counting Crows.
